This position reports to Department Lead Product LCM Engineering
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will manage product releases for our service offerings, ensuring their successful implementation across local and global factories and engineering centers. Your goal will be to maintain high quality, meet functional requirements, optimize manufacturing efficiency, and control costs. As the primary point of contact for market-facing product management and key stakeholders such as engineering and operations, you will provide support on all product-related matters. You will also develop plans aligned with product roadmaps, driving technical development and serving as the product owner within an agile team to achieve the agreed targets. You will be mainly accountable for:
* Defining and coordinating product releases: Managing the scope, schedule, and implementation of global product releases in collaboration with product management, while planning updates in engineering and business tools (e.g., MoR, SAP, E-CAD, M-CAD).
* Ensuring product readiness: Overseeing deliverables from engineering teams (electrical and mechanical) and documentation, as well as defining spare parts, maintenance plans, and digital service solutions.
* Supporting operational excellence: Coordinating product changes and addressing production quality issues with global and local factories, while assisting sales and operations with complex engineered solutions.
* Driving R&D integration: Acting as a review partner for development projects and managing the handover of products from R&D to production, ensuring smooth productization between G4 and G5 stages.
Qualifications for the role
* You hold a degree in electrical or power engineering (M.Sc. or B.Sc. preferred) or a similar field such as mechanical engineering.
* You bring 2-3 years of experience in leading small engineering teams with functional leadership responsibilities.
* You possess profound expertise (10+ years) in industrial environments, particularly in the power energy sector.
* You demonstrate a self-driven and responsible mindset, consistently showing high commitment to your tasks.
* You collaborate effectively, recognized as a team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* You are committed to living ABB's core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your actions, fostering care for colleagues and the business, and leveraging your knowledge of ABB's products, which is considered an advantage.
* You communicate fluently in English and German, ensuring effective engagement in diverse settings.
