To strengthen our Environment and Regulatory Affairs team within the Perfume Division based in Neuchâtel, we are recruiting a
Perfume Sustainability Manager
You are responsible for overseeing the organization’s environmental performance and compliance, as well as stimulating, implementing, and monitoring the environmental strategy that promotes sustainable development. You will advise the organization on how to minimize environmental impact, ensure that impact reduction strategies are implemented, encourage initiatives and best practices to achieve environmental excellence, and lead sustainable development communication plans.
Reporting to the Regulatory, Product Safety & Environment Director, you will be the expert on environmental issues within the organization and you will manage the department, currently composed of two direct reports. Your responsibilities include :
1. Implementing, refining, and monitoring sustainability policies and practices across the organization.
2. Overseeing, measuring, analyzing, and reporting on the company's sustainability performance.
3. Defining strategies for achieving objectives, anticipating trends, as well as identifying the best tools and systems for monitoring performance and the action plan.
4. Monitoring regulatory changes and initiatives to ensure compliance with the international environmental legislative framework.
5. Gathering and analyzing consumer expectations and competitive trends to provide expert advice on sustainability and identify new responsible practices that can be integrated into the organization’s strategy.
6. Managing the environmental strategy budget.
7. Driving change within the organization by informing employees about the sustainability strategy and objectives, and inspiring them to be committed to the organization’s approach.
8. Producing educational or informative resources for internal staff, business partners, and the public.
9. Collaborating with the communication teams to present the organization’s sustainability efforts and commitment in a clear and positive manner, highlighting its progress towards a more sustainable transition.
10. Supporting the client information service to answer questions about the organization’s creations and policies (ingredients, packaging, environmental concerns, sustainability strategy, etc.).
Profile
Holder of a bachelor's degree or higher diploma related to sustainable development, you have a proven in-depth experience in this field. Demonstrating a genuine and proven interest in sustainable development and a strong understanding of the applicable regulatory framework, you are a project leader and results-driven professional. Confident, and naturally charismatic, you are capable to manage change and to inspire people.
Recognized for your initiative, attention to detail, and methodical approach, you exhibit strong organizational and time management skills. Business-minded, you work agilely within commercial constraints and in an international environment. Good communicator, you are fluent in French and English; proficiency in any other language would be an asset.
