And that’s the kind of work Lonza wants to be part of.The MRP is responsible for proactively maintaining and continuously improving the production schedule.Perform all duties to ensure the departmental schedules are accurate and communicated to all relevant departments to drive short term execution of plansEnsure all schedules are created respecting existing labour and asset capacities and achievable based on planned material availabilitiesDrive timely resolution of all scheduling conflicts with relevant partners.Key responsibilities:Perform all duties to ensure the Materials Requirements Plans are completed to ensure the timely availability of materials to support the product Supply PlanResponsible to liaise with all key functions to ensure timely updates to material plans considering changes to plans or material availability issuesExecution of key tasks to support inventory plans and optimization initiativesPerform all routine tasks to convert planned orders into material plans including the creation and management of material planned requirementsLiaison with Supply Planner and Schedulers to ensure all material plans are up to date and responsive to changes in material requirementsCreation and maintenance of detailed material planning parameters in Planning systemsConversion of the material requirements plan (purchase requisitions) into Purchase OrdersExpediting material availability through liaison with procurement and teams involved with inbound material processingCreation and management of material related KPIs and measures to ensure accurate understanding of material availabilityExecution of key material availability, mobilization or write actions to support optimal management of inventory while reducing scrap/wasteLiase with key stakeholders (Supply Planner, Scheduler and PM) to develop safety stock and inventory plans to meet production plansTrack, report and facilitate on-time material availability including testing and release for productionKey requirements:Degree or equivalent experience in SCM, Procurement or any relevant fieldExperience in SCM, Materials Planning/Scheduling and/or PurchasingGood knowledge of SAP and MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint)Good communication and presentation skilsFluency in German and English is requiredStrong Teammate and able to work across cross-functional teamsEvery day, Lonza’s products and services have a positive impact on millions of people.
