We are searching for an IT Quality Assurance Specialist. You will be responsible for the various aspects of the strategy, execution, and monitoring of all quality and testing activities for the developed products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Contribute by taking the lead of the QA stream, scoping, planning, scheduling, and executing QA activities, and providing QA advice to the engineering team throughout the development lifecycle.
2. Support the Product Owner / Project Manager to estimate and challenge the testing effort.
QA Operations:
1. Review functional specifications and translate them to test cases.
2. Execute tests during System Integration and User Acceptance test phases alongside the project teams.
3. Take full responsibility for the tickets in relation to QA (bugs, test phases, test runs) in the issue tracker.
4. Support the Technical Leader and the Product Owner to identify risks and define corrective actions.
Planning/Coordination:
1. Plan and coordinate product testing phases (System Integration Tests, User Acceptance Test, Regression Test, to name a few).
2. Communicate quality standards and parameters to QA team, product development team, and other appropriate staff.
3. Work closely with cross-functional teams (Developers, Scrum Masters, Architects…) aiming to improve operations and provide recommendations for change.
Test Automation:
1. Design, Develop, Maintain & Manage test automation scripts for the developed product using platforms such as Playwright.
2. Focus on expansion of the test automation scope.
3. Troubleshoot and report defects to the development team before they reach the production environment.
4. Apply corrections to test scripts as the product evolves.
5. Be able to answer to Functional and non-functional requirements with focus on Performance and Security of the application.
6. Evaluate fault system indicators to discover bugs prior to the end users; enrich test batteries with the necessary scenarios to cover those faults.
7. Monitor test automation results and keep an up-to-date report of the daily execution of the test automation runs.
8. Contribute to and enforce best practices and quality assurance guidelines in the developed Product.
Reporting & Communication:
1. Produce QA reports and share them with the appropriate audience.
2. Develop a customer-oriented mindset and a culture of trust and transparency.
3. Manage various stakeholders, ranging from business users to technical ones; adapt your communication style to the audience.
4. Attend Agile (Scrum) ceremonies i.e. daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Grooming, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives and maintain status of activities up to date in Jira.
REQUIREMENTS
1. B.Sc. or MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
2. 5+ Years within a QA Engineer role within a software engineering function or organization.
3. Have a deep understanding of using well-known software testing frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Zephyr) and software quality assurance principles.
4. Strong communication skills and high attention to detail.
5. Experience in delivering integration projects from initial study to production stabilization is a big plus.
6. Comfortable with CI/CD pipelines and the use of SCM tools such as GitLab.
7. Good experience with MS Excel.
8. Acquaintance with technology concepts such as APIs, event-oriented architectures, Cloud hosting.
9. Excellent in English both written and spoken; other languages are a plus (e.g. French).
10. Familiarity with alerting and monitoring tools (Grafana, Kibana, Datadog).
11. Knowledge of Agile methodologies and its ceremonies (Scrum, Kanban).
Other desired skills:
1. Testing frameworks / tools: Zephyr, Playwright.
2. Collaboration tools: Jira, Confluence.
3. SCM: GitLab.
4. API: OpenAPI, REST, Postman.
5. Web: HTTP, OAUTH2.
