EMEA UHNW Segment Head Being part of HSBC in Switzerland, you’ll help evolve and grow our business. The Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) segment is a critical growth area for Global Private Bank (GPB). If you answered yes to any of these questions, we want to hear from you What you will do: You’ll be responsible for the UHNW client segment within GPB in region, leading the strategic growth plans across the full proposition. The role supports the GPB EMEA Regional Head and the Coverage Head to formulate, drive and deliver on the UHNW strategy, effectively providing the whole of HSBC products, services and capabilities to our UHNW clients. This person will work closely with the Market Heads, UHNW Desk Heads and Ultra RMs, supporting the delivery in market. This person will collaborate with key stakeholders across GPB, being a change agent to enable GPB to deliver at pace on the Global UHNW strategy. Day-to-day activities will vary given the current priorities of the UHNW function and as a result will require an element of flexibility according to current business needs. In this role you will: Drive and deliver our GPB strategic ‘Grow UHNW’ pillar in region, to achieve our financial objectives Support UHNW Desk heads and Ultra Relationship Managers with client strategy and engagements, transactions and business where needed/possible Engage with Global UHNW, IWS, COO, Propositions and Marketing (etc.) to continue to develop, improve and consistently deliver the UHNW client proposition within region Be the ‘Market lead’ in identifying key enablers including working with IWS, HSBC product partners and COO to bring platform and delivery channels to meet the global demands of the UHNW clients from client on-boarding, investment delivery and reporting to client servicing etc. Responsible for implementation of the UHNW client coverage model across all EMEA regions, markets and booking centres Institutionalize best practices in client coverage, rolling these out systematically across EMEA regions and markets Build out the Family Office proposition and coverage across EMEA Develop a systematic prospecting process, partnering as appropriate with business introducers Implement consistent and best-in-class Client Planning with a focus on wallet share development Lead timely key investment and product initiatives across segment Continue to develop domestic and global collaboration with CMB, GBM, GPB for inbound and outbound referrals Develop with market heads financial plan (FRP) ambitions for UHNW including both Share of Wallet AND Market Share Align and agree with Market heads on headcount planning and recommendations for UHNW hires Support in strategic market plans where related to UHNW specific resourcing and growth plans Lead and support new business/commercial initiatives with Market heads on UHNW specific focuses eg. Onshore family office development etc. Design scorecard and reward and recognition programs in support of the OKRs Identify and develop training programs with L&D to build and strengthen capabilities to be delivered through the UHNW Academy Drive with Marketing and Comms the events, branding and communication strategy for UHNW in region, aligned with Global Align regional UHNW approach with Global approach to deliver one consistent UHNW approach to clients Requirements: Extensive background and experience in UHNW client segment and business – i.e. knowing the customer across proposition, distribution channels, tools, operations and the key financial performance drivers Deep knowledge of line management with a background in private banking relationship management Knowledge of UHNW product/proposition design Extensive experience in client facing roles Positive track record on (UHNW) business development Strong collaboration and stakeholder management Strong influencing skills Robust risk management experience University level education Strong, ongoing understanding of the competitive environment, peer product offering and innovation Experience in strategic Markets specifically across EMEA, with knowledge in UK, Asia and Americas given global nature of UHNW clients Experience in leading and delivering complex initiatives and projects in large, complex and multi-geographic organisations Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with specific experience in preparing / delivering content for senior audience and external stakeholders Commercial mindset and ability to thrive in ambiguous situations, with a proven ability to work to tight deadlines, ensuring timely completion on all actions Ability to influence and collaborate with multiple stakeholders including Senior Management, using one’s personal network to overcome complex scenarios in an international organisation Native speaking level in English; other languages are an advantage Energetic, detail-oriented and proactive, with the ability to function under pressure Team player, open-minded, ready to contribute to an inclusive team culture Even if you feel you do not meet 100% of our qualifications, we encourage you to apply, if you believe this role is right for you.
