Position summary:
Nestlé Zone Europe is looking for a Data Engineer to help us scale our infrastructure so that we can deliver actionable insights throughout the firm. Current and future projects across business teams encompass data driven marketing, data driven sales, pricing, product information management, a consumer data platform, and sustainability. The position will report to the Zone Europe Head of Data Engineering.
A day in the life of a Core Data engineer:
* Own the data stack: design, standardize and optimize the data pipelines and assets for the data department. Ensure the scalability, stability and performance of the platforms.
* Understand the data, organization and preprocessing required to answer growing business needs.
* Supervise our CI/CD.
* Work closely with internal resources: Global, Zone Europe and Country (tech leads, Head of Data Analytics, data scientist, CDO).
* Supervise external collaborators (group resources, consultants) to get projects across the finish line.
* Lead more junior data engineers.
* Communicate on best practices and actively participate in upskilling the department.
The role can be partially remote and there will be flexibility, but you should expect to spend 20% of the time (monthly) in the office.
What will make you successful:
Key experience:
* Solid Python & SQL programming.
* Some DataOps / DevOps experience, building a CI/CD pipeline.
* Mastery of a modern cloud-based data stack. Experience deploying and maintaining ML Model in production is a plus.
* Knowledge of Azure, Databricks, DBT, Snowflake, GCP. Back-end experience a plus as well.
