Automation Engineer - HVAC
Reporting to: Automation Technical Lead
Job Summary:
We are seeking an Automation Engineer responsible for the design, configuration, commissioning, qualification, and reliable operation of the HVAC control systems at the Dolphin/ ADC project.
Main Responsibilities:
* Provide design support for the DeltaV system configuration for utility systems, including:
1.
1. Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning for classified and non-classified areas.
2. Environmental Monitoring System for room conditions (differential pressure, humidity, temperature).
3. Air Lock Control Systems for clean room access.
* Review and approve Automation Requirements, Design, Test, Qualification, and Validation documentation.
* Guide and provide technical direction to the external System Integrator for DeltaV DCS software configuration.
* Support software FATs and SATs, approving documents and witnessing.
* Assist in the integrated commissioning of DeltaV system software, hardware, and interfaces.
* Ensure reliable HVAC control system operation by troubleshooting software and hardware issues.
* Collaborate with the Dolphin Project Team to support timely decision-making, minimizing cost, timeline, and quality impacts.
Skills/ Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree or trade qualification in Engineering (Electrical/ HVAC/ Process Control, or related field).
* Detailed understanding of HVAC system design and operation (essential), including HVAC systems for Grade C & D clean rooms (desirable).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of the Automation team.
* 5 to 10 years of process control system design and configuration experience (essential).
* Minimum 5 years of hands-on DeltaV DCS design and configuration experience (essential).
* Knowledge of applicable Regulatory Requirements and Codes of Practices for automated systems, including CFR 21 Part 11, GAMP 5 2nd Edition (desirable).
* Experience in the Life Sciences Industries (desirable).
