We are currently seeking a Partner Lead (Account Manager) in the Asia Pacific Business Engagement team, who will be primarily responsible for partner engagement and retention (account management). The successful candidate will support the Regional Manager, Asia Pacific Business Engagement in managing a portfolio composed of leading companies headquartered in Australia, Korea, and Singapore across industries, collaborating internally with relevant colleagues and consulting externally with senior corporate executives to execute year-round engagement plans.
Reporting Lines and Interactions
The Partner Lead will report directly to the Regional Manager in the Asia Pacific Business Engagement team. Internally, the successful candidate will work with colleagues from various government, center, industry, and servicing groups, and externally with a range of business executives and experts.
Main Responsibilities
1. Partner (Account) Management: Managing trusted, long-term relationships with key partners from the region; collaborating closely with internal teams to design comprehensive, impact-driven partnership engagements; conducting regular analysis of partnership quality and success; contributing to consultations with high-level executives in partner companies to ensure they derive maximum value from their partnerships; monitoring progress against key performance indicators (KPIs); ensuring a consistent and coordinated approach to value delivery within assigned portfolios and in tandem with the Partner Servicing team; maintaining strong renewal and retention rates.
2. Research & Analysis: Researching, analyzing, and understanding strategic business priorities of current partners from the portfolio and in the Asia Pacific markets more broadly; keeping abreast of key industry and technological trends, as well as political and social changes that may create new opportunities or pose risks to the Forum's footprint in the region; advising on broader strategy for the World Economic Forum in the Asia Pacific.
3. Country/Industry Strategy Building: Contributing to the development of country and industry strategies by conducting research aimed at enhancing pipeline development within pivotal markets and sectors. This role entails thorough analysis of prominent trends and opportunities, along with the identification of essential stakeholders necessary for effective engagement.
4. CRM Updating: Maintaining the Forum's CRM database up-to-date, inclusive of CEO interaction reports, engagement plans, unpaid, and at-risk notes.
The Successful Candidate Will Be Assessed On
1. Ability to collaborate internally to engage and retain partners within assigned portfolios; key indicators include quality of engagement plans, partner renewal and retention rates, as well as feedback from constituents and colleagues.
2. Ability to closely monitor and evaluate key industry and regional developments, media reports, and policy changes that impact business leaders from the portfolio.
3. Ability to maintain the Forum's database updated for all current partners.
Preferred Requirements and Experience
1. Broad intellectual background with a master's degree in a relevant field of study.
2. Strong understanding of the current regional economic landscape in the Asia Pacific markets, particularly Australia, Korea, and Singapore, with proficiency in analyzing complex industry issues and synthesizing appropriate recommendations to management.
3. 10+ years of professional experience in Financial Services, ICT, and/or Energy industries with expertise in Relationship Management, Account Management, Market Research, and/or Management Consulting is preferred.
4. Professional experience in Australia is a plus.
5. Excellent communication skills and command of English; fluency in Korean is a plus.
6. Mastery of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word); experience with Salesforce a plus.
7. Motivated self-starter and team player who enjoys working in a highly collaborative and dynamic environment.
8. Composure and ability to respond professionally under pressure.
9. Willingness to travel.
