Head of Secondary
Full-time (100%) – Starting August 2025
Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the daily operations and strategic development of the Secondary School.
* Uphold and exemplify the school’s mission, values, and highest professional standards.
* Inspire students and staff to strive for academic and personal excellence.
* Cultivate a positive, engaging, and high-performing school culture.
* Oversee the design and implementation of the curriculum, ensuring exceptional learning opportunities.
* Ensure a safe, supportive, and purposeful learning environment, prioritizing student safeguarding.
* Use data to monitor, evaluate, and enhance teaching standards and student performance.
* Promote a comprehensive care and guidance system, from primary school transition to university preparation.
* Develop and implement professional development programs for staff.
* Foster positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the wider school community.
* Lead the Secondary Leadership Team and manage staff performance and development.
* Efficiently plan and manage school resources to support growth and development.
* Actively participate in the marketing and admissions process, meeting with prospective parents.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Proven leadership experience in secondary education with a successful track record of raising standards.
* In-depth knowledge of curriculum design, effective teaching strategies, and school self-evaluation systems.
* Ability to build and lead high-performing teams, motivate staff, and foster professional learning.
* Experience in managing complex school operations, budgets, and resources (including staffing).
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.
* High levels of integrity, professionalism, and personal accountability.
* Strategic thinker with the ability to plan for continuous improvement and school development.
* Knowledge of international education systems, with multilingual and multicultural experience being advantageous.
* Resilient, adaptable, and calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Positive, proactive approach to challenges, with the ability to meet deadlines.
* Commitment to extracurricular activities and whole-school engagement beyond classroom duties.
