Accountant Job Description
Summary:
We are seeking an Accountant to support the Senior Finance team in Zug, Switzerland.
The successful candidate will be responsible for various general accounting and administrative tasks, including financial reporting.
Main Responsibilities:
* Assist in maintaining accounts payable and receivable.
* Prepare journal entries and keep balance sheets up-to-date.
* Perform bank reconciliations and prepare necessary materials for audit purposes.
* Ensure accurate booking of accounting transactions in accordance with Professional Codes of Practice and Accounting Standards.
* Receive and verify invoices, and book them in accounting systems.
* Prepare and record inter-company debit and credit notes.
* Reconcile inter-company accounts.
* Prepare the company's fixed assets register.
* Manage supplier payments and Accounts Payable accounts effectively.
* Implement accounting policies and procedures.
* Prepare accounts payable reports.
* Process timely supplier invoices and payments.
* Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
* Monthly payroll.
* Office administration and compliance.
* Support establishment of the office and workshop in Poland.
* Perform other duties assigned by the Corporate Chief Accountant and/or Regional Finance Manager.
Competency Requirements:
* Degree in Accounting or Finance. CMA certificate is a plus.
* Experience in Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable function is mandatory.
* 5+ years of experience working with a reputable organization.
* Working knowledge of any ERP; Oracle E-Business Suite R12 is an advantage.
* Hands-on experience in insurance, bank guarantees, and letter of credit.
* Knowledge of payroll accounting.
* Analytical skills, well-disciplined, and good communication skills.
* Computer literate (MS Office, Accounting programs).
