Embedded Software Engineer
Sentec, a Swiss-American medical device company specializing in respiratory care, utilizes a deep-tech approach that combines advanced science and cutting-edge technologies to support respiratory patients across various care areas.
The goal is to facilitate enduring change in clinical practice, reducing challenges faced by respiratory patients, improving healthcare outcomes, and alleviating costs.
Sentec applies the latest scientific results and engineering technologies across three core platforms: transcutaneous monitoring, intrapulmonary percussive ventilation, and electrical impedance tomography.
The company researches, develops, and manufactures all products exclusively in-house.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, verify, and document hardware-related software according to relevant standards, guidelines, and best practices.
* Maintain and improve software for existing products.
* Collaborate in defining software requirements.
* Support creation of approval-relevant system documentation.
Requirements:
* Completed university degree in a technical/scientific field (at least university of applied sciences).
* Several years of professional experience in developing software with C++ and C for embedded real-time systems.
* Experience in electrical engineering, measurement technology, GUI implementation (e.g., with Qt and LabView) is an advantage.
* Ideal knowledge of the IEC62304 standard and general experience in medical technology.
* At least B1 knowledge of German and very good knowledge of English (written and spoken).
