Your tasks
We seek an expert in clinical bioinformatics to make a significant impact on the daily diagnostic routines of hospitals. The successful candidate will be critical in integrating diverse OMICs datasets to predict drug responses for molecular tumor boards, directly impacting patient care and treatment strategies. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with clinicians and develop cutting-edge machine-learning models to prioritize cancer therapies. Key tasks in this postdoctoral position are:
* Develop a machine learning algorithm for predicting drug responses in clinics.
* Identify and utilize alternative splicing changes in cancer.
* Explore cancer genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics and epigenetics data.
* Help teach bioinformatics topics.
* Assist in the preparation and submission of grant proposals and publications.
The contract is limited to one year with the option to extend.
Your profile
* PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology or equivalent.
* Practical knowledge in machine learning and cancer genomics.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; German would be a plus.
* Highly motivated, seeking independence.
* Team player.
