Your role: As a Client Project Manager based in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, you will play a key role in ensuring an exceptional client experience throughout their engagement with our company. Your ability to drive superior client satisfaction will be pivotal as you seamlessly orchestrate project delivery and maintain transparent, proactive communication channels. You will lead complex integrated projects tailored to each client's specific needs, thereby driving revenue and growth. Acting as an advocate for the client on-site, you will understand their needs and represent their interests. You will implement industry-leading project management practices, utilizing established systems, tools, and processes to manage projects efficiently while providing a single interface to the client. Taking full responsibility and accountability for all operational aspects, you will lead and motivate a cross-functional project team of experts to achieve objectives with the highest quality.
Additionally, you will manage a team of experts within a matrix organization, ensuring successful delivery in terms of quality, cost, and time. You will be accountable for managing forecasting, invoicing, revenue recognition, and achieving quarterly and annual landing targets as well as project KPI commitments. Controlling project scope, you will work in conjunction with the Proposals Team to prepare amendments or scope changes and provide input into mid- to long-term program strategies alongside the Sales and Commercial Teams. Identifying and managing project risks with the project team, you will address client concerns and resolve cross-functional resource, process, and systems challenges. Finally, you will contribute to improving project management standards by maintaining and enhancing templates, processes, and best practices.
Who you are?
1. Degree in a technical field (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology); a Ph.D. is a plus.
2. 4+ years of CDMO project management experience—preferably in parenteral excipients and/or APIs.
3. Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to balance technical execution and business strategy.
4. Experience in a CDMO or CTO environment, with a deep understanding of project delivery and client engagement.
5. Excellent communication and leadership skills—able to influence stakeholders and drive cross-functional collaboration.
6. A proactive, solution-driven mindset with a structured and detail-oriented approach.
7. Fluency in English; German is a plus.
