Position Overview
The NGT ERP+ Program Inventory Accounting and Reporting Lead will join the Next Generation Transformation (NGT) ERP+ program team. The successful candidate will lead the development or validation of solutions supporting finance and cross-functional business partners.
Responsibilities include:
* Leading subject matter expertise within the ERP’s Finance team on Revenue, COGS, and Inventory accounting business processes.
* Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance processes and provide critical financial insights.
This role will involve some travel and requires collaboration in a global program environment.
The role will lead and execute the following:
* Revenue Accounting: Ensure revenue transactions are posted in accordance with accounting standards.
* COGS & Inventory Accounting: Oversee the configuration and testing of accounting for inventory transactions.
* Gross Margin Analysis: Lead the development and testing of gross margin reports.
* Financial Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for inventory and gross margin.
* Reconciliation: Support periodic reconciliation of inventory accounts.
* Process Improvement: Seek and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
* Internal Controls: Ensure solutions maintain robust internal controls over accounting processes.
* Collaboration: Work with project teams to ensure alignment and accuracy of inventory data.
* Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals.
Experience, Skills, and Knowledge
The successful candidate will have:
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
* 10+ years of accounting experience with at least 5 years in revenue, COGS, and inventory accounting.
* Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
* Experience with ERP systems and advanced reporting skills.
* Fashion/Retail/Wholesale industry experience preferred.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
