Role
The Director of Treasury is a senior leader responsible for overseeing and managing the organization's financial strategy, liquidity, and risk management. This position requires a deep understanding of treasury functions, financial markets, and investment strategies. The Director of Treasury will work closely with the CFO and other senior management members to ensure the company's financial health and stability.
Responsibilities
* Global Treasury Platform Development: Lead the design, development, and implementation of a global treasury platform that integrates cash management, liquidity forecasting, risk management, and compliance across all regions.
* Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the treasury team to achieve high performance and continuous improvement.
* Cross-Functional Communication and Collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration across various departments, including finance, IT, and operations, to ensure the successful planning and execution of treasury responsibilities.
* Financial Strategy: Develop and implement strategic financial plans to support the company's long-term goals and objectives.
* Liquidity Management: Ensure the organization's liquidity needs are met through effective cash flow forecasting, management, and optimization.
* Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, including interest rate risk, foreign exchange risk, and credit risk.
* Investment Management: Oversee the company's investment portfolio, ensuring alignment with the organization's risk tolerance and return objectives.
* Debt Management: Manage the company's debt portfolio, including issuance, repayment, and refinancing of debt instruments.
* Banking Relationships: Maintain and develop strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, and other key stakeholders.
* Cash Management: Oversee daily cash operations, including cash positioning, cash concentration, and payment processing.
* Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and financial reporting requirements.
* Reporting: Provide regular financial reports and analysis to senior management and the board of directors.
Requirements
* Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
* Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in treasury, finance, or related roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
* Skills: Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency in financial modeling and treasury management systems.
* Certifications: Professional certifications such as CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) or equivalent are highly desirable.
* Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of financial markets, investment strategies, and risk management practices.
* Attributes: High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
