Your Responsibilities
You will work in a small team that supports the implementation of CERN's Open Science policy. More specifically, you will take on the following responsibilities:
* Design the CERN Open Science community engagement strategy, including analyzing needs and gaps, and defining a project plan.
* Design and implement educational interventions to promote improved Open Science practice across the CERN community.
* Support concrete implementation projects of the OS Policy.
* Support monitoring framework for Open Science with the community.
* Participate in cross-CERN initiatives to advance Open Science.
* Provide user/community support.
Your Profile
Skills
* Experience with Open Science, preferably with a deep understanding of Open Science practices in a science domain.
* Experience with community engagement.
* Experience in designing and delivering educational programs/interventions.
* Experience with presenting at events.
* Experience working in a research environment.
* Knowledge of physics/particle physics is an advantage.
Eligibility Criteria
* You are a national of a country with an official LHC Research Board agreement.
* You have a professional background in Electronic engineering (or a related field) and have either:
o A Master's degree with 2 to 6 years of post-graduation professional experience;
o A PhD with no more than 3 years of post-graduation professional experience.
* You have never had a CERN fellowship or graduate contract before.
Additional Information
The contract duration is 24 months, with a possible extension up to 36 months maximum. You will be expected to work 40 hours per week.
CERN offers a competitive remuneration package, including a monthly stipend ranging between CHF 6,212 and CHF 6,828 per month, net of tax. Additionally, CERN provides comprehensive health insurance and membership of the CERN Pension Fund.
