Job Description
Coordinate laboratory activities and manage equipment availability and utilization.
Establish planning and supervise resources to execute R&D projects and technical support for the company.
Develop novel laboratory characterization techniques based on CEMEX's new challenges.
Ensure laboratory safety measures are applied.
Main Responsibilities:
* Plan laboratory activities and resources based on R&D project portfolios and technical support.
* Establish working plans for laboratory team members and equipment based on priorities.
* Negotiate with Research centers, Universities, and institutes for research opportunities and technological developments.
* Conduct training sessions for new employees, laboratory technicians, and interns to work safely in the laboratory.
* Implement state-of-the-art methods and laboratory techniques for evaluations.
* Monitor market competition and new technologies by executing benchmarks of available products.
* Supervise and participate in committees to ensure norms and standards evolution in building materials.
* Maintain lab equipment availability and optimal operation.
