The Business Development Analyst will be responsible for the efficient modelling and analysis of business plans for existing investments and new investment opportunities, as well as providing ad-hoc support to the Corporate Finance / Treasury department.
Main Responsibilities:
Undertake detailed analysis and financial modelling of long-term business plans to support financing, expansion and valuation of capital investments and assessment of new investment opportunities
Refine, engineer and maintain multiple long term business development models
Prepare reporting packs on financial covenants for the rating agencies & external lenders
Perform quantitative and qualitative market analysis (M&A activity, competition, market drivers, economic environment, regulation, etc.)
Conduct general background checks and company-specific research to support due diligence of new investment opportunities
Prepare presentations and papers for senior management and Board of Director reviews of business development matters
Minimum Qualifications/Experience/Skills:
MSc in Finance or Business
Expert in financial modelling and analysis with Excel
Business and investment valuation techniques
1-2 year experience in investment finance / valuation or related investment analysis experience
Proven experience in detailed financial modelling and assessment of returns on investments
Expert Excel modelling skills with strong understanding of financial return assessment techniques
Strong analytical skills
Very detail-oriented and highly organized
Proficiency in both written and spoken English with strong expertise in concise and effective written and presentation preparation skills
Ability to work in a collaborative, demanding, fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment
Major Challenges for this position:
Refinement and maintenance of multiple financial models
Collection and reviewing of diverse inputs into analysis process
