As a Legal Counsel, you will primarily support the Nespresso Operations (including Procurement) and Supply Chain teams, to implement Nespresso’s legal and business strategies across the globe.
A Day in the Life of a Legal Counsel
* Provide legal support and advice to Nespresso’s Operations (including Procurement) and Supply Chain teams;
* Act as the lead Nespresso HQ lawyer supporting on Nespresso HQ-led product innovation, in collaboration with the Nestlé patent and R&D teams as required;
* Draft and negotiate contracts with a wide range of supply-side counterparties, ensuring that these contain appropriate legal protections and enable the on-time delivery of business objectives;
* Resolve legal and related commercial issues which may arise in the context of all such agreements;
* Provide legal support and advice in relation to Nespresso's 3 Swiss-based factories;
* Deploy legal knowhow by creating and delivering trainings, templates and business-oriented guidance.
What Will Make You Successful
* Confirmed and successful previous experience in a legal role, with a good degree of in-house experience;
* Full command of written and oral English. Fluency in French an advantage;
* Significant prior experience in leading on complex international supply and/or logistics agreements;
* Prior experience in IP, particularly in a R&D/upstream product development context. Exposure to patents and patent law an advantage;
* Antitrust experience and expertise (ideally in the EU context);
* Ability to handle major legal issues involving complex problems and factual uncertainties, requiring considerable legal judgment, experience and independent reasoning;
* Experience of working internationally, across and with multiple jurisdictions;
* Sound business judgment, customer and problem-solving oriented, attention to detail, pragmatic, resourceful, with good inter-personal and team skills;
* Strong work ethic, integrity and honesty;
* Proactive and able to work autonomously;
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, in a business-friendly manner.
