Manager, Multichannel Campaigns (maternity cover) This role is temporary until end of April 2026 for maternity cover.
The role involves the development, implementation, and monitoring of integrated multichannel campaigns at Karger Publishers. It ensures effective and efficient marketing communication to various target audiences. Additionally, the role requires close collaboration with different units and other marketing teams within the company.
This multifaceted role includes:
Campaign Development and Management: Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of integrated multichannel campaigns, including Call for Papers campaigns designed to promote author manuscript submissions. Ensure these campaigns effectively communicate to various target audiences and align with the company's marketing strategy.
Team Leadership and Resource Management: Oversee the Multichannel Campaigns unit, including a team of 5 marketing specialists. Manage budget and resources, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization.
Agile Campaign Management: Establish and implement agile integrated campaign management processes. Develop compelling marketing, sales, and advertising materials that adhere to the brand platform and content strategy.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with various departments across academic and healthcare business circles. Provide marketing and communication guidance to achieve defined goals and collaborate with the internal visual design team for market implementations.
Marketing Automation and Execution: Implement marketing automation using Salesforce Pardot. Manage newsletters, lead generation, and engagement activities along customer journeys. Plan, organize, and manage exhibitions at 10+ health congresses.
Process Optimization and Reporting: Optimize marketing processes and workflows. Plan and create content, track metrics, generate reports, and continuously develop the team. Maintain and enhance a communication toolkit and branding platform in collaboration with Brand & Communication.
Qualifications and experience required:
Educational Background: Successfully completed a commercial degree (university or university of applied sciences) with a focus on marketing, management, communication, or a comparable vocational training.
Training and Further Education: Ideally, additional training in the mentioned topics and areas of responsibility.
Professional Expertise and Experience: Proven experience in planning and executing targeted, integrated campaigns (both traditional and online). Demonstrated success in similar roles.
Leadership Experience: Extensive experience in leading diverse and cross-functional teams.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365. Excellent command of German and English.
Social Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to connect and mediate, teamwork, assertiveness, and persuasive power.
