About the Job
CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, is seeking a skilled software developer or scientist to contribute to the software R&D at the heart of LHC data processing.
The ideal candidate will have experience with software version control, C++ programming, systems and network programming, and UNIX knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
* Improve the performance and usability of the CVMFS client and publisher
* Work with cloud- and supercomputing facilities to make CVMFS more accessible
* Contribute to baseline support and maintenance tasks of the project
Requirements
* Master's degree with 2 to 6 years of post-graduation professional experience or PhD with no more than 3 years of post-graduation professional experience
* Professional background in STEM (or a related field)
* National of a specific country
