We are looking for a Project Procurement Lead to work with our client in the biotechnology manufacturing space, based in Visp, Switzerland.
This role is a long-term contracted position that is operated on an on-site basis, with the option to extend.
Overview
The Project Procurement Lead manages the procurement activities for assigned investment projects and coordinates their planning and execution at the Visp site and, if required, at other sites. The Project Procurement Lead holds strategic responsibility for procurement in construction of manufacturing, laboratory & office facilities projects between 5 to 500 million.
Responsibilities & Activities:
* Development of Procurement Execution Strategy and coordination of procurement activities for assigned investment projects.
* End-to-end commercial ownership of procurement, expediting, contract management & closeout of contracts for:
* Goods such as: Process equipment, electrical equipment, AHU’s, black utilities pumps & valves, lab equipment, furniture, consumables, pumps & automation systems and spare parts for above.
* Services such as: Construction, piping, HVAC, electrical & cleanroom fit-out, consulting, engineering and planning.
* Active management of the Procurement Master Plan (PMP) during project execution to ensure timely project reporting & identification & mitigation of risks.
* Close collaboration with a multitude of stakeholders such as:
* Project procurement team including other buyers, order managers & contract managers.
* Project or Program Director or Managers, engineers and subject matter experts dedicated to projects.
* Key third party collaborators including EPCM, EPC or main trade or equipment suppliers.
Requirements:
* CAPEX project / procurement management.
* 10 years of pharma / biotech sectors is an advantage.
* Experience in plant construction as well as in the areas of procurement, sales, contract management.
* Languages: English fluency is required, and German fluency is preferred.
* Team player with ability to work efficiently in matrix organizations and interdisciplinary teams.
* Excellent business mindset, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
* Initiative and resilience – ability to work in an exciting, ever-changing environment.
* Technical training (ETH or FH) or similar in process, chemical, mechanical, civil or plant engineering is an advantage.
