The hiring company is looking for a highly skilled and autonomous IT Support Specialist to join their team and provide Level 1 & 2 IT support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting their employees with a wide range of IT issues, from basic troubleshooting to complex network and system-related problems. This position requires a proactive and service-oriented mindset, ensuring the smooth operation of IT infrastructure across our global organization.
Your task
* Provide IT support across levels 0 -> 1 -> 2 for approximately 200–250 laptops per site, with a total of 400+ devices across two locations.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware (mouse, monitor, laptop), software (Excel, access control, ERP), and network (LAN/WAN/WLAN, cabling, system troubleshooting).
* Serve as the primary point of contact for IT-related queries, ensuring effective and timely resolution of issues.
* Assist in company-wide IT projects, such as rollouts and system upgrades.
* Maintain communication with software providers and hardware suppliers to ensure seamless IT operations.
* Provide guidance and training to employees on IT tools and best practices, fostering a learning-oriented environment.
* Manage and troubleshoot telephony systems and access control solutions.
* Execute SQL queries as needed to support system operations.
* Work flexibly with occasional extra hours for maintenance projects (no regular on-call duty nor piquet).
Your profile
* Minimum 5 years of experience in IT support, with the ability to work autonomously from the first week.
* Strong knowledge of networking (LAN/WAN/WLAN, Active Directory, DNS) and system troubleshooting.
* Experience with telephony systems and access control solutions.
* Familiarity with SQL queries.
* Exposure to software like SolidWorks is a plus but not mandatory.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive approach.
* A teaching mindset, capable of not only resolving issues but also educating users.
