Job Description:
Our client is a bank located in Geneva. Commodity Trade Finance is a well-supported business unit internally, dynamic and stable.
1. Ensure the drafting of financial analyses integrated into credit protocols.
2. Analyze both the substance and form of files and provide decision-making conclusions.
3. Conduct reviews and analysis of credit protocols submitted by the Front Office, collaborating with the Front Office on improvements to be made to the files, and develop decision-making conclusions for protocols submitted for credit committee approval.
4. Ensure the acquisition and enforceability of collateral documentation in coordination with the Front Office and Legal teams.
5. Present credit files to the Division Head (second level of expertise) and comment on decision-making conclusions.
6. Ensure proper entry of validated credit lines in the transaction tracking system.
7. Review and validate major counterparty, service provider, broker, and insurance accreditation requests.
8. Interact continuously with other teams involved in Global Commodity Finance activities (Transaction Management, Legal, Compliance Front).
9. Stay informed about market developments, key players in the commodity sector, and regulatory changes affecting their financing.
10. Propose solutions for optimizing processes and tools in Credit Review activities.
11. Occasionally participate in the management of contentious and pre-contentious files.
12. Participate in significant development projects within the Credit & Transaction Management activity.
Qualifications:
1. Previous exposure to Commodity Trade Finance.
2. Experience as a Credit Officer/Analyst with banks active in commodity trading finance, and/or experience with an audit firm managing a portfolio of commodity trading clients.
3. Comprehensive understanding of risk aspects related to commodity trading financing.
4. Native French speaker, good command of English.
5. Excellent interpersonal and writing skills.
6. Strong analytical, synthesis, and presentation abilities.
7. Ability to work under pressure and strong team spirit.
This is a permanent, full-time position to join an existing team. The Credit Review Officer will be able to have a global view on the portfolio of clients.
