Job Description:
Otis seeks a skilled lawyer to manage business workload and provide legal counsel for operations in Austria and Switzerland. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Director, Legal, Central Europe.
This role offers a unique blend of selling, operational, and governance responsibilities. You will be responsible for protecting the company's interests while ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
The ideal candidate will possess accountability, resilience, and strong customer focus, with the ability to adapt to situational demands.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Law Advice: Provide counsel on negotiating, drafting, and reviewing contracts.
2. Dispute Resolution: Act as an advisor on disputes and legal issues.
3. Litigation Management: Manage non-significant litigation matters and support significant ones.
4. Project Support: Assist with complex projects and business development activities.
5. Process Optimization: Streamline and automate legal processes.
6. External Partnerships: Liaise with external counsel and develop training programs for non-legally skilled colleagues.
7. Compliance Oversight: Oversee corporate secretarial matters and ensure compliance work is handled efficiently.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years' broad operational legal experience, preferably in the construction industry.
2. Experience in dealing with construction matters, including contentious and non-contentious issues.
3. Fluency in English, French, and German.
