Tasks
As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving sales success by providing technical leadership, solution delivery, and customer engagement. You will support the Sales team in winning new customers and maximizing revenue by guiding technical resources, delivering product demos, and ensuring successful solution implementation. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and the ability to engage customers at both a technical and strategic level. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B SaaS or AI automation, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Sales Engineering & Technical Enablement: Support the Sales team by delivering product demos, participating in customer meetings, and guiding technical resources to ensure successful product evaluations, pilots, and post-sale installations.
* Customer Success & Partnership: Work closely with the Sales team to ensure high customer satisfaction, manage high-priority issues, and provide after-hours support when needed to ensure smooth customer engagements.
* Solution Positioning & Strategy: Collaborate with Sales leadership to define strategic targets, effectively position our solutions in the B2B SaaS or AI automation space, and ensure the successful alignment of technical solutions with customer needs.
* Industry Engagement & Advocacy: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and seminars, and stay up-to-date with B2B SaaS or AI automation trends to effectively position solutions in the market.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration & Issue Resolution: Work with Sales, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to resolve technical and business issues quickly, ensuring a seamless and positive customer experience.
* Sales Enablement & Process Improvement: Develop and maintain technical sales materials, contribute to ongoing training for the Sales team, and refine presales processes to improve sales outcomes and operational efficiency.
* Reporting & Metrics: Track and report on presales activities, pipeline health, and individual performance, while setting key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive accountability across the organization.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
* Over 5 years of experience in a pre-sales or Solutions Engineering role, with at least 2 years in a senior capacity.
* Proven track record in B2B SaaS, AI automation, or similar tech-driven environments.
* Strong understanding of both technical and business value propositions, with the ability to present complex solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Native-level fluency in German or Swiss-German and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages across technical and business contexts.
* Demonstrated success in collaborating with Sales, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to drive revenue and close large deals.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to resolve issues quickly during the sales cycle.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* Comfortable managing high-pressure situations and responding to urgent issues outside of regular business hours as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and presales enablement software.
* Technical certifications related to SaaS, AI automation, or cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
* Experience working in B2B SaaS, AI automation, or similar industries, with a deep understanding of customer challenges and needs in these markets.
