As Data Architect you play a crucial role in managing a company's data strategy, infrastructure, and systems. Your responsibilities span various aspects of data management, ensuring that data is accurately stored, processed, and made accessible to those who need it.
Your main responsibilities
* Designing Data Architecture: Developing a blueprint and developing the framework for managing data across the data landscape. This involves selecting the right architecture, technologies, and methodologies delivering scalable, secure, cost-effective solutions to meet business needs and objectives.
* Data Modeling and Design: Creating data models that outline how data is stored, consumed, integrated, and managed by different data entities and IT systems. This includes defining how data is related and how it flows through the system.
* Integration and Data Migration: Overseeing the integration of new technologies and systems into the data architecture, including migrating data from legacy systems to new platforms.
* Collaboration and Leadership: Working closely with IT teams and the business to ensure the data architecture meets business requirements and supports data-driven decision-making.
* Align with broader Data Governance goals in the areas of Data Quality (data accuracy, completeness, and consistency), Compliance & Data Security.
Your profile
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
* At least 5-10 years of experience in IT or data-related roles. This might include positions as a database developer, data engineer, data analyst, software engineer or an already established data architect.
* Data Modeling & Design: Proficiency in data modeling tools and methodologies, understanding of normalization, and experience in designing entity-relationship diagrams and data flow diagrams.
* Data Technologies: Experience with data platform solutions including data storage, integration tools and frameworks, data management and data governance tooling (e.g. Snowflake).
* Cloud Computing: Understanding of cloud services (AWS) for data storage, processing, and analytics.
* Data Security & Governance: Knowledge of data security principles, privacy laws (like GDPR), and experience in implementing data governance frameworks.
