Group Accounting Manager

Summary:
Kuros Biosciences AG is looking for an experienced Group Accounting Manager to oversee the group consolidation and financial reporting for our organization, listed on the SIX Stock Exchange. The role involves managing the monthly group consolidation process and collaborating with local reporting teams, external auditors, and Investor Relations. You will provide technical support on complex accounting issues and ensure compliance with IFRS standards. This position reports to the VP of FP&A and Corporate Accounting and is based at our corporate centre in Schlieren, Zürich.
Responsibilities:
Manage the monthly group consolidation and group/entity-level month-end close processes.
Prepare interim and annual reports in accordance with IFRS and statutory filing requirements.
Prepare and coordinate the financial aspects of the Group’s quarterly trading updates.
Oversee the financial accounting of the Swiss entity, with support from a local accountant.
Handle Swiss payroll and manage the Group’s Employee Stock Option Program.
Liaise with local reporting teams to ensure compliance and timely reporting.
Assist the VP FP&A and Corporate Accounting in reviewing and providing technical accounting solutions on complex accounting topics.
Produce IFRS accounting issue papers and maintain the IFRS accounting manual.
Lead the record-to-report process, ensuring robust controls are in place.
Prepare and oversee the preparation of internal management reports for senior leadership.
Collaborate with external auditors, preparing working papers and supporting evidence for the consolidated financial statements.
Provide support to the Group CFO on ad-hoc projects.
Collaborate with Investor Relations to ensure accurate financial information is presented.
Requirements:

Skilled in working with local teams across different countries and cultural barriers.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5 to 7 years of relevant experience in a Swiss-listed environment or a Big 4 firm.
Strong understanding of IFRS and ability to ensure business transactions are compliant with IFRS standards.
Knowledge of group reporting consolidation processes, including intercompany eliminations, and currency translation adjustments.
Experience producing management reports for senior leadership.
Experience with systems such as Lucanet, D365 Dynamics, and Workiva is a plus but not mandatory.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to set up and manage complex projects.
Strong presentation skills, able to communicate complex matters to various audiences, including senior leadership.
Fluent in both English and German, with excellent communication skills.
Prepared to work extended hours during half-year and year-end closings.
Willingness to travel occasionally for several days at a time.
