Job Description
You have worldwide purchasing responsibility and accountability for the steel material field for the Power Tools Accessories Business Unit and act as an expert and global contact person in this environment.
1. In Detail you are responsible for the worldwide Steel / Stamping parts / Cold forging parts commodity strategies which considers the needs of your product areas.
2. With your expertise you are responsible for the Dynamic Supplier Classification, traffic light setting and the respective market evaluation.
3. You are responsible for the preparation and execution of price negotiations within your material field and for the identification of cost reduction possibilities.
4. Due to your strong strategic thinking, you are responsible for market analysis throughout request of quotations and supplier decisions including the necessary documentation in accordance with valid guidelines and efficient supplier management.
5. You are part of relevant meetings to share and gain respective technical commodity knowledge to support internal customers and market developments.
Qualifications
Education: University degree in the field of mechanical engineering or technical studies
Experience and know-how: Profound experience in purchasing or a similar position, pronounced entrepreneurial mind-set and track record, strong conceptual strategic thinking, strong purchasing knowledge & experience, strong Price Negotiation Skills & Methods, knowledge of project management and agile methods in multifunctional / cultural teams
Personality and working style: Strong communication skills & argumentation power when dealing with different stakeholders and teams, goal-oriented, analytical & structured way of working,strong intercultural skills and experience, strong conceptual strategic thinking, communication, moderation and visualization skills
Languages: Excellent in German and English
