Your Role
Corporate
* Provide corporate legal support globally, with a focus on EMEA, including entity management, corporate restructurings, intercompany agreements, treasury, and accounting.
* Coordinate and align with the Global Corporate Specialty team to ensure consistency and appropriateness in these areas of law.
Compliance
* Support Aptiv's compliance goals by ensuring compliance with laws and regulations and promoting a speak-up culture.
* Advise on diverse compliance topics and policies, such as conflicts of interest, anti-bribery laws, fair competition, and whistleblowing.
* Coordinate with the Global Compliance Team on compliance initiatives.
Commercial and General Counseling
* Advise key stakeholders on contracting with customers, suppliers, and other third parties, including drafting, review, and analysis of contractual terms.
* Develop strategies for contracting with customers, suppliers, and other third parties that maximize contractual benefits and minimize risk.
* Advise and collaborate with business teams and other support functions on a wide range of legal issues, including litigation and dispute resolution, employment, real estate, and corporate.
* Analyze and resolve disputes with suppliers and other third parties.
Your Background
* 5+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE)
* Experience in a law firm or multinational company
* Qualified to practice as an attorney in Switzerland
* Experience as an attorney advising multinational organizations on complex global matters and transactions
* Sophisticated law firm experience
* Experience working in a corporate legal environment with increasing levels of responsibility preferred
* Ability to handle a variety of complex legal matters and identify, anticipate, and develop solutions-oriented strategies that mitigate legal risks while achieving commercial objectives
* Ability to work well independently and lead on projects as part of a global team managing international transactions and projects in a fast-paced environment
* Experience working on matters involving cutting-edge technology
* Ability to serve as a business partner and build consensus on complex legal and business issues while viewing legal issues through a business lens
* Excellent oral and written communication skills in German and English
