CERN's Technical Student Programme: A Unique Opportunity for Practical Training
As a student seeking to gain work experience in domains related to Applied Physics, you'll have the chance to work at the forefront of technology, contribute, and expand your knowledge in fields such as particle detector physics, data processing, radiation studies, beam instrumentation, optics, lasers, cryogenics, vacuum, or thermodynamics.
Please note that students specialising in theoretical or experimental particle physics are not eligible to apply for this programme.
Qualifications and Requirements
* You must be a national of a country with a valid passport.
* You must have completed at least 18 months/3 semesters of your undergraduate studies at the time of the next student selection round taking place in May 2025.
* You must remain registered as a full-time student during the internship.
* You must have a good knowledge of English or French.
What CERN Offers
* A contract of association from 4 to 12 months.
* An allowance of 3452 Swiss Francs per month (net of tax).
* A travel allowance.
* Depending on your personal circumstances, a supplement if you are married and/or have children.
* Coverage by (the contribution will be automatically deducted from your allowance).
* 2.5 days of paid leave per month.
