How you can make an impact: Design & Implementation: Develop and customize template radio architectures to meet project requirements, ensuring seamless integration of performance characteristics based on customer specifications.
System Optimization: Configure and fine-tune Data Communication Systems (DCS) for Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC) systems to maximize efficiency and reliability.
Architecture Enhancement: Assess and refine DCS design and architecture, with a strong focus on improving network security and system resilience.
Network Administration: Oversee network management for CBTC communication components, ensuring optimal performance and security.
Testing & Validation: Conduct comprehensive system testing and validation of DCS reference architecture and design to maintain high operational standards.
Minimum Qualifications: Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, or Computer Science Engineering from a recognized university, with a specialization in wired and wireless network technologies (Wi-Fi and LTE).
Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of communications engineering principles, practices, and emerging trends, including radio frequency allocations, signal strength measurements, and tolerances.
Practical Experience: Hands-on proficiency in radio design (radio propagation, network layout, antenna selection, fast roaming, radio interference surveys, and radio link budgeting) and network configuration (Layer 2 & 3).
Language Skills: Fluent in English; German proficiency is a plus.
