Job Title: Postdoctoral Researcher in Preclinical Drug Selection
We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative in vitro models for preclinical drug selection, particularly for gene therapy.
About the Project:
The successful candidate will work on developing new in vitro models of the human and mouse blood-brain-barrier, leveraging the group's expertise in this area. These models will be benchmarked for preclinical and clinical investigations, and then validated through close collaboration with researchers at Novartis AG.
Objective:
The ultimate goal is to expedite the selection of candidate therapeutics, specifically for gene therapy, using these novel in vitro models.
Your Profile:
To be considered, you should have a strong background in bioengineering and biotechnology or related fields, with experience in microfluidics and advanced in vitro models. Knowledge of standard molecular biology techniques and NGS technologies is also advantageous. Excellent communication skills, a proactive work attitude, and fluency in English (oral and written) are essential for success in this role.
Requirements:
* PhD in Bioengineering, Biotechnology, or a related field
* Experience with microfluidics and advanced in vitro models
* Familiarity with transport across endothelial barriers and viral vectors
* Knowledge of standard molecular biology techniques and NGS technologies
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
