Job Description
As a Full Stack Web Developer in the central Group Marketing team you will be working with all the business units of SMG Swiss Marketplace Group AG and joining a group of experts that is responsible for a wide variety of marketing activities ranging from brand design to performance marketing.
You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the digital face of our company. You'll support the development and expansion of our company website, the central hub of our online presence. Your expertise will also help drive our business units and brand's digital strategy, ensuring an engaging and seamless user experience. In this role, you will collaborate closely with various marketing, design, and content teams to bring innovative ideas to life and maintain the integrity of our brands.
Your responsibilities:
Develop and realise web projects in both frontend and backend. Incorporate modern and innovative solutions into projects.
Create and maintain websites (WordPress), including design, programming, and content management.
Ensure responsive design and website usability.
Regularly update website content and functionalities.
Perform quality control and handle technical go-live processes.
Create and extend web tools and applications.
Install, integrate, configure, and customise WordPress themes, plugins and extensions.
Analyse and optimise website performance.
Continuously improve website content and structure to enhance search engine visibility (SEO), together with our SEO team.
Implement and monitor tracking mechanisms to measure funnel performance. Assist in developing and optimising conversion funnels.
Implement security measures and regularly check for vulnerabilities using security plugins.
Troubleshoot and resolve WordPress functionality and integration issues.
Stay updated on the latest WordPress features, themes, and plugins.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand objectives and translate them into effective solutions.
Qualifications
Extensive experience with WordPress and Typo3.
Experience in Elementor and building WordPress sites solely on Gutenberg Blocks without any page builders.
Experience with Magnolia.
Experience in content migration.
Basic understanding of server-side management for WordPress.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in web development.
Enthusiasm for innovative technologies and knowledge of modern web standards.
Clean coding practices and precise working methods.
Creative mindset with a passion for innovative design.
Fast learner, adaptable to new design trends and technologies.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Fluent in English; German or French is a plus.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or comparable certifications.
