WHO YOU ARE We are looking for an Accounting specialist with experience in direct and indirect tax matters who wishes to join our Accounting & Reporting team in Itingen.
To be successful in this role, we think that you bring:
Strong expertise in accounting and tax compliance, including indirect tax, intercompany transactions, and reconciliations.
Deep knowledge of Swiss GAAP FER and legal requirements, with experience from direct contact with Swiss tax and regulatory authorities.
Solid experience in accounting, tax, or financial compliance, ideally in a big, international organization.
Good communication skills to understand and explain complex matters to people with different backgrounds.
Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
You can comfortably handle unclear or unpredictable situations.
A good level in German and English (written and spoken).
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Manage accounting and direct and indirect tax matters for IKEA Switzerland to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
Co-ordinate and ensure accurate and timely filing of the Corporate Income Tax returns, VAT returns, and all other reports to local and central authorities and handle tax audits.
Continuously work on improving our accounting processes, both from a quality and efficiency aspect.
Support tax-relevant matters regarding management and statutory reporting.
Advise the local finance organization on any relevant tax matters.
Participate in local and global projects (providing relevant input on tax matters).
Manage and lead all insurance processes, procedures, and yearly activities for the country in a timely and effective way, securing all relevant standards and rules are in place.
