About the Role
The Psychologist - HSPP will conduct diagnostic testing for families considering treatment options for suspected neurodevelopmental disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for children aged 2-6 with suspected Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) using standardized assessment tools like the ADOS-2 and CARS-2.
2. Draft thorough diagnostic reports meeting insurance requirements.
3. Review findings with families to recommend suitable services.
4. Travel within the region may be necessary to perform in-person assessments.
5. C coordinate evaluations, schedules, and waitlists with the outreach team and Sr. Director of Diagnostic Assessment.
6. Pursue ongoing education on best practices in ASD evaluations, diagnostic testing tools, and their implementation across the organization.
Requirements:
1. Licensed Psychologist
2. Endorsed Health Service Provider in Psychology (HSPP)
3. Experience with ADOS-2 and other diagnostic tests specific to autism spectrum disorders
4. Strong written and verbal communication skills
5. FAMILY-centered approach to service provision
6. Ability to work physically with children during assessments
