Your ‘day to day’
As a Scientist Quantitative Research - Consumer Sciences, you will focus on understanding the impact of our technologies and products and implement behavioral science methodologies, including Consumer Reported Outcome Measures (CROM), Patient Reported Outcomes (PRO), and other Clinical Outcome Assessments (COAs) in both regulatory clinical and real-world evidence (RWE) human studies. You will work closely with the Consumer Sciences Business Partner to bridge the Consumer Sciences team and various teams within the Life Sciences function (Clinical and RWE) to ensure the appropriate integration of behavioral science methodologies in studies.
More specifically, you'll
Apply technical scientific expertise to support Clinical and RWE studies by defining and implementing COA strategies and other behavioral science methodologies, serving as specialist and centralized contact for end-to-end implementation.
Collaborate multi-functionally with Consumer Sciences, RWE and clinical scientists, study operations, data management, and biostatistics to ensure COAs in clinical and RWE studies are properly defined, implemented, analyzed, and reported. Responsibilities include evaluating and selecting COAs, obtaining copyright clearances, coordinating linguistic validation, supporting electronic migration and user acceptance testing, and ensuring quality control and proper filing of COA documentation, as well as supporting COA analysis and interpretation.
Coordinate and partner with external vendors to carry out activities and studies related to the development, adaptation, validation, and translation of COAs, ensuring high-quality outcomes and timely delivery.
Contribute upon request to the publication of research results in international peer-reviewed scientific journals and other types of external scientific and regulatory communications.
Ensure quality in all research activities, adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), PMI Compliance Policies, standards, and laws, as well as confidentiality of data.
Who we’re looking for
Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree or equivalent experience in behavioral, health, or social sciences (Psychology, Social Sciences, Survey Methodology, Psychometrics, Public Health, Outcomes Research, Epidemiology or a closely related field).
Minimum 3 years’ experience in clinical outcome assessments within Clinical Research Organizations, academia or pharmaceutical, tobacco, food, cosmetics industries.
Demonstrated experience with COA development and validation projects. Sound knowledge of COA requirements for regulatory agencies, including understanding of the US FDA Patient Reported Outcomes Guidance.
Knowledge of standards such as ICH/Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Good Epidemiological Practice (GEP).
Strong analytical skills applied to questionnaire validation and psychometrics, as well as provide related technical inputs to studies. Familiarity with programs such as SPSS, R.
Demonstrated planning and project management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and convey scientific concepts to diverse audiences. Sound interpersonal skills and ability to foster collaborations within multidisciplinary teams.
Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
