Job informationDivision/Unit: UEFA Club Competitions SA/Legal & Business AffairsContract type: PermanentStart date: 01.01.2025 or as soon as possible thereafter Main goal Join UEFA Club Competitions SA’s (UCCSA) Legal & Business Affairs team to play a pivotal role in the provision of all necessary legal support for UCCSA’s marketing, sponsorship and commercial rights activities in relation to the UEFA men’s and women’s club competitions. You will be part of the exciting new future of the exploitation of commercial rights to UEFA’s club competitions. Key responsibilities Providing legal input and advice relating to the exploitation and implementation of commercial rights across all UEFA club competitions Managing the provision of legal services in relation to UCCSA’s marketing agencies for the drafting of all relevant legal documentation, including rights agreements and other general commercial contractsManaging contractual matters including liaising with and instructing UCCSA’s marketing agencies Providing legal support to UCCSA's commercial rights team primarily in relation to sponsorship and merchandise-licensing mattersProtecting UCCSA’s and the UEFA competitions’ larger/overall interests from a business affairs perspectiveCooperating and communicating with other lawyers within UCCSA, UEFA’s Legal Affairs division and the European Club AssociationInstructing external legal advisers Experience: From 4 to 8 years of post-qualification experience in a law firm or international organisationExperience in a commercial environment ideally in relation to the exploitation of media rights, sponsorship or merchandise-licensing rightsExperience of commercial contract drafting and negotiation Education: Qualified lawyer with outstanding academic qualifications Languages: English: Native speaker or business fluentProficiency in other European languages would be an asset Other requirements: Good knowledge of sponsorship, licensing and commercial contract lawStrong core legal skills and an understanding of commercial business drivers Strong management and organisational skills including the ability to manage other personnel or stakeholders (e.g. UCCSA-appointed marketing agencies) in the fulfilment of legal requirementsExcellent drafting, negotiation and oral communication skills in EnglishExcellent project management, organisational and time management skills and the ability to prioritise to ensure consistent delivery of multiple simultaneous projects to tight deadlinesProfessionalism, including reliability, a commitment to meeting high quality standards and deadlines and respecting budgets, the capacity to plan and anticipate what will happen, a focus on efficient implementation, follow-up after completion, decision-making ability, accountability, integrity and discretionExperience in managing challenging situations with competing interestsTeam spirit: good cooperation with colleagues and counterparts, willing to help and support others to reach common goals even under stress, desire to proactively develop team spirit #J-18808-Ljbffr
