Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Scientific Advisor with Medical Governance responsibilities. This role combines scientific expertise with medical governance tasks, making it a unique and challenging opportunity. The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Pharmacovigilance and Medical Governance and will be a key member of the LOC Switzerland Medical Affairs team. This position will involve significant cross-functional interactions with stakeholders in both the commercial and medical departments, necessitating exceptional communication skills.
Responsibilities
1. Conduct scientific review of promotional and partially of non-promotional material. This involves leveraging deep scientific knowledge and understanding of all GSK products in scope to ensure that all materials are not only accurate and compliant with regulations, but also reflect the latest scientific findings and advancements.
2. Responsible for final approval of promotional and non-promotional material ensuring all material meets necessary GSK standards and external regulations (Therapeutic Products Act, Medicinal Products Advertising Ordinance, Pharmakodex) before release for use in Switzerland.
3. Perform independent management monitoring according to a predetermined schedule. This includes identifying any potential issues, and reporting results to the relevant stakeholders.
4. Provide support to the business by answering questions related to medical governance, scientific engagement, and local regulations. This will require staying up-to-date with the latest developments in these areas and being able to communicate complex information in a clear and understandable manner.
Qualifications
1. Advanced degree in a scientific or medical field.
2. Experience in a similar role, ideally within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
3. Strong knowledge of Swiss regulations and standards.
4. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional stakeholders and convey complex scientific information clearly.
5. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
6. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Additional Requirements
1. Language Proficiency: Must be fluent in both German and English. Proficiency in French or Italian is a significant plus.
2. Education: Must possess at least a Master's degree in Life Sciences or a related field.
3. Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry is required.
4. Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is essential.
