Role Overview
* The successful candidate will join the Product Development Ocean Team, creating engaging shore experiences for guests visiting specific regions of the world.
* This role involves defining excursions that align with marketing positioning, determining optimal inventory mix, and ensuring revenue growth.
* The Destination Manager will also support onboard teams, local vendors, and staff training while resolving operational issues.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop comprehensive planning layouts, incorporating shore excursions, profitability analysis, competitive research, and quality metrics.
* Lead price negotiations, initiate bidding processes, and finalize contracts, ensuring alignment with business goals.
* Liaise with vendors and shipboard resources to implement shore excursion changes effectively.
* Provide operational support to onboard teams during crisis situations and optimize destination programs.
* Create and manage inventory accurately across systems.
* Review and update collateral materials (emails, handouts, itinerary descriptions) for accuracy and consistency.
* Conceptualize enhancements to existing shore products and develop solutions for quality challenges, owning the entire destination management cycle.
Requirements
* A minimum of 3 years of experience in destination development and delivery, covering concept creation, execution, operations, and crisis management.
* Significant experience in logistics management and budget oversight.
* Passion for delivering exceptional travel experiences.
* Strong general education and knowledge of geography, history, natural history, culture, and current affairs of the destination area.
* Detailed-oriented work style and excellent communication skills in English.
* Ability to perform under pressure, make decisions, and maintain high standards of quality.
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, international environment.
