This role is based in Vevey (VD), with around 60-80% of working time spent traveling.
Your Mission:
1. We require you to support engineering departments in creating inspection and test plans.
2. You will contribute to supplier manufacturing kick-offs and monitor their progress in collaboration with the purchasing team.
3. Please validate in-process quality documentation and plan witness inspections.
4. Carry out witness inspections, if required, alongside inspectors from our customers and communicate outcomes.
5. Notify delays or non-conformities promptly and ensure timely documentation of non-conformities and supplier deviation requests.
6. Follow up on tasks to ensure deviations are closed.
7. Participate in supplier audits and assessments.
Your Profile:
1. A Mechanical Engineer Bachelor's Degree (HES or equivalent) is required.
2. You should have at least 5+ years of experience in quality control within the electro-mechanical industry.
3. Familiarity with welding, forging, casting, and machining processes and technologies is necessary.
4. Negotiation of Additional Requirements: NDT certification according to EN ISO 9712 Level II in PT, MT, UT methods and Auditor certification according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 are advantageous.
5. Knowledge of standard IT, engineering, and SAP tools is essential.
6. Fluent English is a must; knowledge of French is a plus.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility, customer orientation, and solution orientation are required.
8. Willingness to travel around 60% of the time, mainly in Europe.
