Welcome to Audi's new venture in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship. The team has two locations, one at Audi's Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg, Germany, and another at the Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil, Switzerland. The Power Unit will be developed in Neuburg, while Hinwil will focus on chassis development and race operations.

Job Requirements
* We are looking for experienced mechanical and hydraulic Senior Systems Design Engineers to join our Systems Group.
Location
The position for the Audi F1 Project is based in Hinwil, Switzerland, at the Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop mechanical and hydraulic systems and components for the racecar and associated R&D activities.
* Work on systems related to Power Unit integration, steering, braking, fuel & cooling layouts.
* Plan and oversee testing of systems concepts on test rigs and on the racecar.
* Create detailed CAD models and technical drawings using CATIA v6 / 3DExperience and maintain technical documentation and standards compliance.
* Liaise with suppliers and other technical groups across the team to ensure efficient and reliable designs for relevant systems.
* Optimise systems for performance and reliability using simulation tools and analyse data to improve performance.
* Contribute to the continual improvement of people & processes, mentoring other engineers and providing technical guidance.
Requirements
* Minimum degree qualification in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
* At least 8 years' experience in mechanical and/or hydraulics system design in an F1 or high-level motorsports environment.
* Familiarity with FIA legality & homologation considerations for systems components.
* Experience with system simulation & programming tools such as FEA, Matlab / Simulink, Amesim, Python.
* Professional proficiency in English for effective report communication.
* Excellent teamwork, communication & organisational skills with experience of managing & mentoring.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure and with a keen sense of responsibility.
