About the Position
We are seeking a skilled professional to manage all Engineering Flight Physics activities related to Helicopters, including Aerodynamics, Loads, Dynamics, Performance, Flight Mechanics, Noise and Weight & Balance.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide Technical Leadership: Offer guidance and mentorship across the multi-disciplinary team to support the development of Rotors, Transmission, Airframe Structures, Airframe systems and Avionics.
2. Develop Technical Planning: Create overall technical plans and provide airworthiness verification support.
3. Collaborate with Experts: Work closely with engineering leadership and subject matter experts for the review and approval of engineering design solutions.
Key Tasks:
1. Flight Physics Tools Development: Develop in-house models/tools to simulate physical phenomena specific to Aircraft, in addition to standard tools like Camrad, FlightLab, Nastran, etc.
2. Model Validation: Implement a model validation process in line with CS27 requirements.
3. Aircraft Specifications: Engage in aircraft level flight physics specifications/technical data activity.
4. Compliance Demonstration: Assist in creating compliance demonstration documents (Type Certification).
5. Rapid-Turn Design Process: Facilitate the continuous improvement of a rapid-turn design-to-specification process.
Requirements:
1. University Degree: Hold a degree in Aerospace Engineering.
2. Flight Physics Expertise: Possess proficient knowledge in Rotorcraft Flight physics domains, with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
3. CS 27 / 29: Familiarity with these regulations is required.
4. Aircraft Experience: Have experience with aircraft and component Flight and Ground tests, as well as qualification and certification, preferably in the civil domain.
5. Leadership Experience: Minimum 3 years of leadership experience is necessary.
