Job Description
The Network Engineer will be based in Geneva and will report to the Network Manager and will have responsibility for:
* Ensuring the day-to-day network operation and monitoring, finding and technically solving problems related to the network with a business-oriented approach.
* Working with other IT teams on a global scale to implement new systems and address security concerns.
* Maintaining network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, troubleshooting network problems, and escalating problems to vendors, office, datacenter, and remote locations.
* Upgrading network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases.
* Designing and implementing both wired and wireless networks of the organization, including LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet exposure, and SD-WAN solutions.
* Implementing Cisco ISE authentication (802.1x, Radius & Tacacs).
* Enhancing network security, as well as documenting network processes and cabling layouts.
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements and security compliance standards relevant to network infrastructure.
* Ensuring that the proxy solution is up and running and managing deployment.
* Having telephony knowledge for SBC and Teams environment is a plus.
* Being available to work beyond normal business hours and be on call.
* Integrating and being part of a Follow the Sun team.
Qualifications
* Very strong technical skills on Cisco Equipment – CCNP certification preferred.
* Implementing and maintaining Palo Alto Firewalls for network security and access control.
* Utilizing SolarWinds NPM (Network Performance Monitor) and NCM (Network Configuration Manager) for network monitoring and configuration management, as well as ThousandEyes solution.
* Solid understanding of Cisco routing and switching products and networking (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP / DMVPN / Catalyst & Nexus).
* Experience with SD-WAN, Internet & low latency circuits is required.
* Wi-Fi deployment and operation on Aruba & Cisco Meraki.
* Cloud experience on Azure, AWS, GCP is required.
* Experience with proxy solutions such as McAfee, Zscaler, Palo Alto.
* Experience with WAF on F5 Silverline.
* Automation skills, including Python scripting and Ansible, are required.
* Experience with Trading Market Data is an advantage.
* Education: Minimum Bachelor of Science in Networking.
* Experience: 8-10 years as a Network Engineer in a multi-cultural environment.
