Commercial Manager
We are searching for an experienced Commercial Manager at our MSC Geneva facility.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
For MEDLOG Geneva, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing relationships with key accounts, coordinating inland transportation tenders, and overseeing commercial development and business management activities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Global Direct Sales Management: Oversee and drive direct sales initiatives on a global scale, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
2. Client Relationship Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients to maximize satisfaction and loyalty.
3. Client Support & Coordination: Manage day-to-day client requests and oversee responses to RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs.
4. Strategic Growth Planning: Develop strategies to increase business across all key categories, including Value-Added Services, Warehousing and Full Truck Load (FTL) solutions.
5. Collaboration & Investment Opportunities: Partner with MEDLOG teams worldwide to identify investment opportunities and develop innovative product offerings.
6. Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with MSC Global Account Department to deliver inland solutions and optimize client management processes.
7. Financial Management: Oversee and control key financial elements such as revenue, costs, and profitability across clients and regions.
8. Policy Implementation: Manage the rollout of policies and contractual frameworks for vendors and clients, in alignment with relevant departments within MSC/MEDLOG.
Required Qualifications:
* Min 10 year experience in sales, commercial management, or related roles within logistics, freight forwarders, 3PL or transport industries.
* Strong knowledge of intermodal transportation and warehousing.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build networks and nurture long-term client relationships.
* Excellent strategic planning and problem-solving abilities.
* Financial acumen to manage budgets, costs, and profitability.
* Ability to work collaboratively with global teams and departments.
* Proficiency in responding to RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs with attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
