Role Title: Trading Assistant Department: Emerging Markets
Office location: Geneva
The Trading Assistant role provides an opportunity to work closely with EM Portfolio Managers with years of experience and interact directly with market makers and sales people.
Role Requirements: Booking deals and monitoring positions within EM Fixed Income
Trade structuring
Liaising between the trading desk and support functions
Ensuring integrity of positions held in front office tools
Support for Portfolio Managers
Managing projects that improve desk efficiency as and when they arise
Pricing and administering unwinds and novation protocol
Doing quantitative work to build tools to improve trading on the desk
Opportunity to progress to an execution trading role over time
Experience Required: The candidate should have trading experience in front office on sell or buy side and good experience and understanding of a wide range of products across EM rates.
The ability to ‘think on your feet’ and the organisation skills to prioritise and manage several different tasks at once is essential.
You will require an excellent eye for detail and be very thorough in your checks and processes.
The candidate should also have a degree from a reputable university in Finance, Economics, Business or otherwise have a demonstrated interest in investment products.
While the desk will provide guidance, the role requires someone who can perform independently and can step up and take on increased responsibilities over time.
