Position Summary
As a Quality Specialist Packaging, you will be responsible for delivering specialized Quality Assurance (QA) support to packaging-related Innovation and Renovation (I&R) projects. You will collaborate closely with the packaging development team and provide expert knowledge in quality related topics (e.g. chemical contaminant). In this role, you will have the opportunity to work and support the operations in the filling and packaging process. You will ensure that the highest quality standards are met, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing effective QA measures to optimize the filling and packaging activities. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining product integrity and meeting customer expectations throughout the entire process.
A Day in the Life of a Quality Specialist Packaging
1. Develop and share packaging-related quality, food safety, compliance knowledge and expertise.
2. Provide specific packaging QA support for gap assessments, glass breakage network, and consumer complaints.
3. Support projects in designing quality, food safety and food contact materials into packaging materials and filling/packaging lines.
4. Support shelf life predictions and studies on Coffee product applications.
5. Establish and review packaging QA instructions, including rMMS (reference manufacturing scheme) and model HACCP, for filling and packaging lines.
6. Monitor and address packaging-related consumer feedback, including new packaging launches.
7. Drive packaging-related QA initiatives in Business Review Meetings.
8. Participate in training, workshops, and knowledge sharing sessions for packaging quality.
What Will Make You Successful
1. Background in food science, quality, chemistry, technology, packaging, or relevant engineering field.
2. Solid experience in Quality for packaging or relevant field.
3. Expertise in shelf life studies and in analyzing product stability.
4. Knowledge in coffee is a strong plus.
5. Technical exposure across various functions such as Quality, Packaging, AG, Production, Engineering, R&D.
6. Demonstrated capability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
7. Experience in problem-solving methodologies (DMAIC, GSTD).
8. Strong analytical skills.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Full business proficiency in English (written, spoken), any other language is an asset.
