The Position
As an Investor Relations Officer, your basic responsibilities are to ensure the correct flow of relevant information and company messages, analyze financial community expectations and sentiments, and develop the financial community’s understanding and appreciation of Roche’s Diagnostics business.
You will gain experience related to internal and external communication and to senior management and the financial community.
The Opportunity:
* Story development and presentation making for Investor Relations (IR) presentations on Diagnostics topics for IR events for individual speakers.
* Preparation of Diagnostics Q&As for Investor Relations and preparing answers to investor questions.
* Summarize analyst reports after IR events and on important Diagnostics conferences and events.
* Prepare and train speakers for IR activities.
* Liaise with key people from the Diagnostics business.
* Liaise with Diagnostics Communications to ensure alignment/information flow between communications and IR.
* Review and give input to Diagnostics press releases.
* Prepare and accompany investor site visits and participate in IR roadshows and investor conferences.
* Support presentation-making and Q&As for quarterly reporting events.
* Support bond issuances concerning input from Diagnostics.
* Educate new investors on Diagnostics topics.
Who you are:
You have a strong life science/med tech background with at least 5 years of working experience either in the Diagnostics industry, Diagnostics consulting or insights businesses, or financial industry (Diagnostics sell-side/buy-side financial analyst). A PhD or MBA with a strong interest in med tech and science and a profound knowledge of the Diagnostics IVD industry is a must. You love working in a highly dedicated, high performing team with the opportunity for professional growth, and engagement with senior management and the financial community. Additionally, you bring the following:
* Strong interest in the trends shaping the Diagnostics industry and in capital markets (e.g., understanding company valuations).
* Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills with an ability to explain scientific and business concepts alike.
* You have developed presentations on scientific, industry, or business-related topics and have excellent proficiency in PowerPoint and Google slides.
* Ability to network and liaise with a wide variety of groups within the company (e.g., R&D, product teams, communication, finance) to obtain and share relevant information.
* Excellent English language skills (written and spoken), German is an advantage.
