Assist the Investment Bank Switzerland and Global Markets Switzerland COO team in run and change the bank activities.
Be a Switzerland regional SME business manager and develop cross product business manager skills over time.
Partner with business heads, COOs, and logistics and control functions to:
Ensure the IB / GM Switzerland businesses run smoothly by coordinating and owning run-the-bank tasks and controls.
Execute and organize key business initiatives.
Act as a sparring partner to help enable financial outcomes.
Implement, fine-tune, and execute the front office control framework.
Partner with team members and other COO teams, both locally and globally, to manage implementation of key projects and initiatives including business-driven changes, and regulatory, audit and risk remediation activities.
Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks, adhering to regulatory and operational risk standards.
Coordinate and oversee supporting F2B functions day-to-day and via business-related governance forums, managing relationships with Technology, Operations / Middle Office, Compliance, Risk, Finance & Controlling, and others.
Perform and oversee regulatory and audit interactions/matters.
You will be working in the IB/GM Switzerland regional COO team and will report to the Global Markets Switzerland COO. Our team focuses on ensuring that the business operates effectively and efficiently to manage risks, and is enabled to maximize profits while being compliant with regulations, policies, and procedures.
Your expertise:
Background or direct experience in the markets.
Knowledge of Global Markets products, front to back processes, and some experience in managing audit and regulatory matters.
Ability to communicate and work with stakeholders and team members across all areas of the bank and of various levels of seniority.
Ability to understand new issues and processes quickly and determine priorities and solutions based on business need and benefit.
Excellent analytical and presentation skills; proficiency in standard office applications.
Comfortable working independently, as well as in a collaborative environment.
Strong focus, drive, and commitment, with a track record in getting jobs done on time and to a high standard.
Able to remain calm under pressure and cope with difficult and changing scenarios.
Some leadership/management experience of team members.
A university degree.
Proficient in both spoken and written English; German is an advantage.
