Our client is an international organization located in Geneva. The Interim Head of Accounting will oversee and manage the accounting function within the organisation. This role involves leading a team of 10 accounting professionals, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards and regulations, as well as leading key projects.
Key Responsibilities: Accounting
Accounts receivable
Accounts payable
Payroll integration
Travel cost & expenses integration
Fixed assets
Other subledgers
Consolidation / combination of group entities
Audit coordination
Tax
Tax records
Tax declarations, including collection of tax receivables
Tax documentation, incl. intercompany documentation
VAT, income taxes, cost taxes
Internal controls & compliance with applicable legal, fiscal & accounting norms
Team leadership & development
Systems and technology, evolution of ERP, linked systems and interfaces
FP&A support
6-month mission starting immediately. The successful Interim Head of Accounting will come with the following background and experience:
Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience with a minimum of 5 years of team leadership experience
Proficient knowledge of Swiss Code of Obligations and French accounting standards
Consolidation experience
Strong understanding of internal controls and compliance
Professional fluency in English and French (both written and spoken) is essential
Advanced proficiency in ERP systems
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
Pragmatic, result-oriented mindset
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance
Proactive and adaptable in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
